Marking the completion of nine
remarkable years on February 1, Gandhinagar-based TILS Education unveiled a
meaningful and forward-thinking initiative titled ‘Green Commute Reward’.
Announced during the institute’s 9th anniversary felicitation ceremony, this
initiative encourages students to adopt eco-friendly modes of travel.
Under this joint initiative by TILS
Education and SEEKH Society, students who commute to the institute using public
transport or bicycles will be recognised and rewarded with a cash incentive.
The program aims to appreciate conscious choices that contribute to
environmental sustainability.
The core objective of the Green Commute
Reward is to sensitise students to the growing challenges of global warming,
climate change, and environmental degradation. Institute Directors Abhilash
Modi and Abhishek Kankria shared that the initiative is designed to nurture a
sense of responsibility among students, motivating them to make thoughtful,
need-based, and environmentally responsible decisions in their daily lives.
The initiative was formally inaugurated
by the institute’s dynamic offline and online teams. On the occasion, two
students were honoured with the very first Green Commute Rewards, setting an
inspiring example for others. The announcement was met with overwhelming
enthusiasm and appreciation from the student community.
Senior students and professionals
associated with the institute expressed confidence that the Green Commute
Reward will serve as a powerful step towards spreading awareness and inspiring
society at large to move towards a more sustainable and responsible future.
